THEME: AT THE ZOO.

OBJECTIVES: 1. to encourage pupils to speak about the animals using the plural form of the
nouns.
2. to develop communicative listening, reading and writing abilities
3. to teach pupils to be enthusiastic, to work in groups, to be kind and
friendly to animals.

PROCEDURE OF THE LESSON.

I. ORGANIZATION MOMENT.
1. Teacher –Good afternoon! How are you?
Let’s greet each other. Sing a song “ Say hallow!”!
(Song:Say ”Hallow” — Hallow”
Say ”Hallow” — Hallow”

II. ORAL PRACTICE
1. Teacher : Look! A Zoo has come to our town!
Will you go to the zoo?
Let’s go to the zoo!
Would you like to go to the zoo?
While answering use the following words:

Pupils: OK
GREAT!
GOOD IDEA
WITH PLEASURE

2. Teacher: To make our way short let’s sing a song “We are going to the Zoo”
(Song:” We are going to the Zoo tomorrow,
Zoo tomorrow, Zoo tomorrow,
We are going to the Zoo tomorrow
We can stay all day

We are going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo
How about you, you, you?
You can come too, too, too
We are going to the Zoo, Zoo, Zoo

See the monkey scratch, scratch, scratching

3. Teacher: The gates are closed. To make them open we should become the animals ourselves.
I’ll count to 5. ( the pupils put on their masks of the animals).
Introduce yourselves!
Pupils: I am a cat. My name is Pussy. I am grey. I am not black. I am small. I am not big.
My nose is pink. My eyes are green. I am happy. I am not sad.

4. Teacher: The gates are open now. But there is a king in the zoo. If you correctly join the
dots, guess who he is, he’ll become alive and help us to go round the zoo.

(1 pupil works at the interactive blackboard, the other pupils work individually)
Teacher: Who is he?
Pupils: He is a lion.
5. Teacher: Count to 5.He’ll be alive now( the teacher puts a mask of a lion).
6. Teacher (a lion) – There are many animals in my zoo. Find out who they are. You’ll get
presents for the correct answer.

7. Teacher-a lion. I have got cages with the snakes. But they are white. Read. Colour them.
(pupils work on the interactive blackboard)

8. Teacher-a lion Some new animals have come to our zoo. Listen and guess who they are.
(pupils listen to the sounds of a frog, elephant, lion, monkey, parrot )
Pupils: It’s a monkey.
9 Teacher-a lion They hid from us. Find and count them. Match the animal, number in figure
and number in
words.

10. Teacher-a lion Read information about the animals. Say who they are. Put them into the
cage.
(pupils work on the interactive blackboard)

11. Teacher-a lion My animals are sad. Let’s leave them the presents you have. (the pupils have
apples, pears, bananas, oranges) but first count them.
Pupils: I have 5 apples.

12. Teacher-a lion: I like you very much. If you come to my zoo again go and stand under the
word “ YES”, if you don’t want to come, go and stand under the word “ NO”

. HOME TASK
Teacher: The boy Eset has many animals at home. Read and say who they are and count them.. “Fly High”. Application book. P.3 Ex.1, 2.
